A summer school on
"Heat Kernels and Spectral Geometry: From Manifolds to Graphs"
will take place in Bregenz (Austria) from August 30 to September 3, 2022. The school will be centered around three mini-courses:
* Nalini Anantharaman (IRMA, Strasbourg): "Quantum ergodicity for eigenfunctions of Laplacians on manifolds"
* David Borthwick (Emory University, Atlanta): "Heat kernels and spectral geometry on manifolds"
* James B. Kennedy (University of Lisbon): "Spectral geometry of quantum graphs"
For registration, please submit your application here.
The school will be financed by COST and the University of Hagen. Within the framework of the COST action "Mathematical models for interacting dynamics on networks", participants from COST members and NNCs, as well as South Africa, shall be eligible to receive financial support in line with the Annotated Rules for COST Actions; very limited funding will be possibly available for participants from further countries. (Please note that although Russia is an NNC, participants affiliated with Russian institutions are currently ineligible to receive financial support.)
Attendance is open to all scholars, but free registration by July 15, 2022 is required from participants who wish to apply for funding.
The school will be held at the Center for Distance Learning in Bregenz. For all participants, accommodation at walking distance will be available at the Marianum.
For further information, please contact the organizers: Delio Mugnolo (University of Hagen) and Pavel Kurasov (University of Stockholm).
